Pushkar Food and Crafts Fair
Free-fall into the untrammelled revelry at this livestock trade fair which transformed into a cultural extravaganza unfolding on Kartik Purnima in this holy city each year. Give a hand in tug-o-wars, try your horse-riding skills, zoom into the story tellers and magicians, gobble up traditional eats and shop till you drop— all amidst gaily decorated camels and gorgeously attired women in traditional costumes.

Jambay Lhakhang Drup
Held in the great courtyard it commemorates the Jambay Lhakhang Monastery, raised by the Bhutanese king Srongtsen Gampo in Bhumthang, in honour of Guru Rinpoche

Black-Necked Crane Festival
Visitors get to witness the beautiful celebrations of the much venerated, black-necked cranes who migrate in winter to Gangtey Valley from the Tibetan plateau. The festival coincides with the birth anniversary of the present-day Bhutanese king, Jigme Singye Wangchuck.
