After enjoying breakfast at the hotel, embark on a drive to Gangtey via the Dochula pass, which offers breathtaking views of the high peaks of the eastern Himalayas. As you ascend the mountains, you will reach the pristine Gangtey Valley. This area is renowned for its expansive fertile valleys and as a sanctuary for the endangered black-necked cranes. It presents an excellent opportunity to explore local Bhutanese villages and unspoiled valley trails relatively close to the capital city. Delight in a traditional Bhutanese meal at a homestay near the Gangtey Goemba temple. Following lunch, pay a visit to the Gangtey Goemba monastery, situated atop a forested hill that overlooks the verdant expanse of the Phobjikha valley. This monastery serves as the seat of the ninth reincarnation of Terton (a treasure discoverer) Pema Lingpa. Subsequently, drive to Lhakpa Homestay in Mole village, where you can experience the warm hospitality of the host family.

After your morning meal, embark on a picturesque hike along the Gangtey Nature trail, passing through the roosting area of the Black Neck cranes and enjoying views of the lower Phobjikha valley. This is one of Bhutan's shorter nature trails, commencing from the Mani Stone Wall stupa north of Gangtey Gompa and concluding at Khewa Lhakhang. The hike, which takes around 45 minutes to an hour, winds through pine forests and small bamboo shrubs. Spot some early arriving cranes on their roosting grounds during this hike.

Proceed to Punakha after a picnic lunch along the valley view trail above Khewa Lhakhang. If time allows, make a stop at the Suspension Bridge. Meet your homestay host and unwind for the evening. Indulge in a delectable dinner at the farmhouse.

Following breakfast, journey to Nobgang Village, scattered across the hill slopes and renowned for its cleanliness and hygiene. Talo Sangnacholing, situated on a plateau, boasts sweeping views of the neighbouring villages. The village's charming farmhouses are adorned with their own flower gardens and cultivate plentiful crops like corn and sweet peas on the hillside. Engage in a brief cooking demonstration offered by the women of the Nobgang community and savour lunch at the Nobgang Community Restaurant.

After lunch, head to Jangwana. The paved farm road route takes you on a scenic rural journey beyond the Punakha highway. Relax and enjoy a hot stone bath near the river. Conclude the day with a traditional Bhutanese dinner at the homestay, or choose a restaurant of your preference.

After breakfast, travel to Paro (Dop Shari) on the route that leads to Paro Rinpung Dzong and the Ta Dzong (National Museum). Have lunch at a farmhouse, take a break, and participate in a tour of an old traditional house. Try your hand at Archery, a traditional Bhutanese activity. A customary Bhutanese dinner will be provided in the evening.

Commence the day with a visit to Ta Dzong, originally constructed as a Watchtower and now housing the National Museum. The extensive collection includes antique thangka paintings, textiles, weaponry and armour, household items, and various natural and historical artefacts. Proceed to Rinpung Dzong (meaning 'fortress of the heap of jewels'), where the inner courtyard's wooden galleries are adorned with intricate wall paintings depicting Buddhist narratives, such as the four friends, the old man of long life, the wheel of life, scenes from Milarepa's life, Mount Sumeru, and cosmic mandalas. Lunch can be enjoyed at Phangu Restaurant near Paro Rinpung Dzong, and the afternoon can be spent at your leisure either at the farmhouse or exploring as you wish.
