After breakfast, we wander into Old Delhi's timeless lanes; centuries of history in bustling markets, colourful shopfronts, and narrow alleyways full of everyday life. Pure sketchbook fuel, whether you're drawing, photographing, or just soaking it in.

A hands-on afternoon where watercolor meets embroidery. We build a vibrant watercolor base, then learn to "draw" over it with simple, beautiful stitches - all texture, colour, and playing with your hands.

What we'll do:

Fabric to Fashion: Uncovering Indian Craftsmanship

• Explore Dastkar in Chattarpur and discover the stories, techniques, and craftsmanship behind Indian textiles.
• Continue to Dhan Mill, exploring a curated selection of Indian and contemporary designer stores.
• Meet a designer by training and stylist by profession, with over 15 years of fashion industry experience.
• Gain insights into Indian and Indo-Western styles and discover pieces that complement your personal style.
• Learn about Indian textiles and craftsmanship from someone who has run her own fashion label and worked closely with the industry.

After breakfast, we’ll continue by road into Rajasthan, making our way towards the Pink City of Jaipur.

This afternoon is all about pattern, colour, and craft — with the chance to get your hands involved.

If you’ve ever admired a beautifully printed textile or a hand-glazed piece of pottery and wondered how it comes to life, today you’ll get to see it for yourself. Meet the artisans behind these traditional crafts, discover the techniques they have perfected over generations, and have a go at creating something of your own.

Take your time to look closely, notice the small details, and enjoy the process — this is less about simply seeing how things are made and more about experiencing the craft from the inside.

The day opens at first light - temple rituals, fresh flowers, the city just starting to wake up. We'll ride women-driven e-rickshaws through Jaipur's most atmospheric morning corners, hopping off along the way to walk through the parts best seen on foot.

From there, on to Amber Fort - painted halls, mirrored palaces, intricate carvings, and views for days. Endless material for a sketchbook, even if you never open it.

Later, the City Palace. And to close the day, time to just wander - Jaipur's markets, its hidden corners, its colour everywhere you look.

As our hosts are dressed in traditional Rajputi poshak, accompanied by exquisite jewellery and the rituals of adornment, discover the stories, craftsmanship and traditions behind this distinctive style of dress. With time set aside for sketching, capture the beautiful silhouettes, intricate details and personalities that bring these traditions to life.

As dusk settles over Jaipur, gather around the table with the women of the house for a private dinner, sharing stories, conversation and a glimpse into a world seldom experienced by visitors.

Today we head to Agra, home to one of the world's great architectural masterpieces.

We check in, then visit Agra Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the finest examples of Mughal architecture anywhere.

What's in store:

• Wander grand palaces, elegant courtyards, and richly decorated halls
• Hear the stories of the Mughal emperors who once called this fortress home
• Take in the scale and detail of Mughal design, the kind of thing photos never quite capture.

We start the day at the Taj Mahal at dawn. Quiet, golden, and completely worth the early start. Some things you just have to feel in person.

From there, we venture to the handicraft clusters where the descendants of the artisans who built the Taj still live and work, tucked right around the monument itself.

We'll walk through the neighbourhoods and workshops of families who've practiced Pietra Dura and Zardozi for generations, and spend real time with the artisans themselves; talking materials, techniques, and craft.

Later, a hands-on Zardozi workshop with a family who's preserved the craft since 1845, learning the metallic-thread stitches once reserved for royalty, at a private museum studio.

This isn't a showroom demonstration. It's sitting beside the people keeping a centuries-old art alive, and leaving with a small piece of it in your own hands.
