The city of Agra’s strategic location in the Indo-Gangetic Plain in northern India has served as an amazing cross-cultural hub for the country’s diverse culinary pursuits. This fertile region is the setting for the subcontinent’s richest and most densely populated areas; and this, amongst many other factors, has propelled the culinary diversity of this historic city.
Over time a host of different communities who migrated to Agra brought with them their own culinary traditions which merged seamlessly with the city’s indigenous foodways.
